These championships have definitely brought out the best in our swimmers. More brilliant swims this weekend.

Grace Lawton’s 200 freestyle in a 6 second PB on Saturday was fantastic, which poses the question, what have you been messing around at all this time Grace ??????? J

Chloe Jones swam a wonderful 200 butterfly, 8 lengths fly and no DQ is some achievement, well done Chloe.

Charlotte Williams destroyed the field in her heat of the 100 IM it was great to watch.

Two more brilliant 100IM swims came from Lara & Ella Coulter, both achieving county qualifying times. Harry Rider showed unbelievable fighting spirit in his 200IM clawing back 5 meters and surging past on his free to do a 35 sec split, fab swim Harry. Not to be outdone was his sister Olivia taking gold in a 28.88 PB 50 free. Another gold was Luke Cox in the 200 backstroke and the boys 100IM saw good swims from Joseph Deighan, Keon Layne and Sean Penter.

Olivia Clare swam a lovely 100 breaststroke and Elliot Pieczarka - Copeland was another good 50 breast stroke swim. Everyone that swam in these championships gave everything they had and lots of PB’s were achieved.
